Gray Eagles Foundation
The Gray Eagles Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated
to keeping aviation history alive through dynamic audio-visual
media created to educate and inspire those from all generations.
Specifically, it is their hope that their films will encourage
others to share their stories, and by doing so, build family
connections, foster community, and nurture a culture of multi-generational
understanding and respect.
American Fighter Aces Association
The AFAA was specifically founded to recognize the 1,442 combat
pilots that received a special distinction of becoming an ace
by destroying 5 or more hostile aircraft in air to air combat.
This includes aces in both World Wars, Korea and Vietnam.
Florida Warbirds, EAA Warbird Squadron 24, Inc. was founded in October 2000 by Earl Walsh, a retired U.S. Navy Commander and owner/pilot of a North American T-28 Trojan. It started with only a handful of Warbird enthusiasts who believed there was a need for a local Squadron. Since its inception membership continues to expand.
This site is dedicated to all those who flew and served in the US 8th Army Air
Force Fighter Command during World War II. It is a consolidation of details gathered
over many years, including the various reference works published on the subject
and is presented as a research tool to 8th Air Force historians.
